All the restaurants in the village are good; here are some of those that are recommended;
The Melting Spot

Good basic French food, bar quite busy, TV in bar playing French football!

Traditional, rustic, French bar/restaurant serving snacks all day.  Good price for faster food, informal.  Wide selction from basic sandwiches, chips, burgers to lasagne, omelettes and crepes. Located in the main square on opposite corner to the church.  This is great for a good basic filling meal!

Fresh organic local food. Small bistro type restaurant. In main church square, behind Grenette (covered communal area).  This is a very personal and friendly place, and one of our favourites.  They cannot take parties of more than 10 usually. Booking essential, very popular.

La Fandioleuse – 0033(0)4 50 34 98 28

Good selection of savoury and sweet crepes, good value. Small place but nice atmosphere. Try the cider out of the bowl! Follow narrow alley between the two Gourmand shops opposite Petit Casino.

La Mezzanine – 0033(0)4 50 53 65 22

Tapas and local dishes. In the centre of the village, just off main pedestrian section, opposite side to Petit Casino.Closed Monday and Tuesdays. Lots of wall mirrors and wood give this an open feel - worth a visit.

La Table De Fifine – 0033(0)4 50 34 10 29

Nice atmosphere,traditional, Savoyard, French meat dishes. Located on road to Grand Massif Express lift on the right. Chalet style, need to book.  This is popular with many British folk who have moved to Samoens.

Alti-Piz - Take Away Pizza/Burger Restaurant – 0033(0)4 50 53 38 92

Takeaway pizzas and burgers, located off square next to Post Office. Leave square to left of bank, head to the second car park, on right hand side. Good value. Order, have a beer in square, then collect!

Le Maitefaim - 0033(0)4 50 34 60 71 

Takeaway but also sit in. Sells beer too. Great pizza.  Located opposite Grand Massif Express lift, next to the Boulangerie Tiffanies.

Good value friendly restaurant, traditional décor, situated behind bar with same name. Good for meat and cheese dishes. Located in main route past Credit Agricole Bank, on right towards ice skating rink.

L’Estanco – 0033(0)4 50 34 40 11

Restaurant located on the raised boardwalk of the village that serves stylish French, home-made and with fresh products. It has a modern and refined feel. Located in main route past Credit Agricole Bank, on right towards ice skating rink.

Le Serac – 0033(0)4 50 34 45 18 

Rustic, good value, busy, informal pizzeria. Savoyard dishes as well as pizza. Go past Credit Agricole Bank, there is a raised boardwalk going behind the Tabac and it is behind there.  This is good for families.

Au Relais Septimontain – 0033(0)4 50 34 42 19

Traditional food, average price. From the square go past Petit Casino, past Boulangerie Tiffanies and Aspen Bar. Keep going for 50m, restaurant on right.

Excellent wood fired pizzas. Good food serves, steaks,salads,fondues. Can do takeaway pizzas, bar to have drink while waiting. Off main square past ‘Bar de Savoie’, restaurant 100m on left.

Gourmandaise de Marie-0033 (0)4 50 34 10 98

Very French, small restaurant. To get there; from square go past Petit Casino, past Les Glaciers, turn right past Intersport, Keep going 50m, restaurant on right, next restaurant up the hill from Aux Becs a Fleu.

Le Monde a L’Eavers - 0033(0)4 50 34 19 36 

Good place to eat with Swedish flair. Friendly service, nice ambience. Restaurant is 50 m from square towads Sixt. Exit between Bar de Savoie and the bank.

Aux Becs a Fleu – 0033(0)4 50 54 40 68

Traditional French restaurant. Friendly and very good food. From the square, leave and go past Petit Casino keep going past Les Glaciers, turn right up hill past Intersport. Keep walking 50m, it’s on the right, just before Gourmandaise de Marie.

Coveys Pub

Sky TV. Late licence, some live music. Located behind Sherpa supermarket, under apartments, near cinema. Used to be an Irish Bar, now French owned but still serves Guinness!

Red Rock

Late licence, lively French bar. Next to La Louisiane restaurant on narrow lane, which leaves the square by the side of Bar Savoie. Not for the old (at heart)!!

Bar Le Savoie

On the square , very popular, spills into square.

Bar Le Samoens (BLS)

Also on the square. Traditional French bar. Also spills into square.

The New Clarine

Stylish bar, terrace for fine weather, part of Restaurant L’Estanco.

The Place 2 Be

Next to Grangers in pedestrian area of village centre. Pub-type bar – serves pickles and platters upstairs.

L’apero S’pace

(Les Glaciers Hotel outside bar). Stylish modern outside bar with flames and patio heaters! Sometimes live music or DJ. 

Popcorn Vintage

Shop/cafe/après ski drinks, often offering après snacks. Sometimes DJ’s for après on Fridays. 

L’Après Ski Bar

(‘The sausage bar’) - on the road just up and opposite from Crédit Agricole. The best vin chaud in town. Serves hot sausages and drinks outside (and you get cake!). Popular with boarders who like to be seen!

La Canette

Popular burger bar, good value, can sit outside, no room for large parties

Vin sur Vin

Wine bar very popular with ex-pats! Up the hill past InterSport

Morillon

Morillon is a small village a few kilometres down the valley - you can ski down into Morillon
