Thank you so much, David and Co, for allowing us to try out the delights of your beautiful residence, and in the stunning location of Samoens. We only had a week, but packed in loads of activities, which have all been described in detail above, and truly fell in love with the whole area. The chalet is a delight! The 6 of us were spoilt for choice as to where to sleep, with beautifully appointed bedrooms throughout, some with balconies, and bathrooms/en-suites aplenty. The kitchen was the best-equipped I've come across, in a self-catering property, and I could have been very adventurous with the cooking if I'd wished....being a very hot week, we spent much of it outdoors till pretty late, coming back to enjoy the wonderfully cold pool, with obligatory glass of crisp, local Rose wine and a crisp or two.....quick shower then off in to enjoy the delights of the numerous, characterful local restaurants - all within about 10mins walk. We also did carry-out pizza, with amazing local fresh veg for salad, and more local wine of course! So, apart from simple breakfasts (mainly local fruit, yoghurt and the obligatory pain au chocolat or newly discovered 'crevettes', I really didn't use the kitchen to its full potential. I get the feeling had the weather been worse, and/or this had been a winter holiday, I would have cooked more elaborate meals for sure. My Brother has a place in Flaine, so one day we tried the brand new, extremely clean and lovely 'piscine' in Les Carroz, before visiting Flaine. Flaine is not as big as Samoens, and has always been quite a functional ski-resort, but has some stunning scenery and walks too. Our favourite spot so far, is Sixt Fer a Cheval, and had the loveliest hike up to the waterfalls - truly like something out of Jurassic Park! Only down-side of the holiday, was Lee thinking he was a teenager again, leaping off a high rock ledge on the rafting trip, and losing the GoPro....anyone else going rafting with 'Atypik' anytime soon, might find it if they fancy diving to the bottom of a swirly, deep pool under 'said rock ledge...apparently it's full of great rafting footage of Lee and the 3 boys :( Having skied in the Alps for many years (40+, I'm terrifed to admit!), this was our first summer Alpine break, and we're completely hooked, and hope to be back very soon :D

1. Maison Deux-Coeurs a lovely cosy home from home, where the days adventures on the mountain were regaled over a hearty meal with plenty of wine and good company. I was thankful for the wood burning stove, the hot tub and the warmest of welcomes and care by our hosts. Conveniently situated for access to the slopes and the town centre of Samoens, you can be as independent or group orientated as you wish. The town is very picturesque and the locals and snow sports instructors friendly. 2. CPD Actif - combining the adventurous training with the other elements of active learning and personal development offers one of the fastest ways to bond a group of individuals and create an environment where everyone feels able to express both their strengths and offer their weakness for development by the group.

With the snow melted and Samoens but a dim and distant memory I have had a chance to reflect (in an Actif manner obviously). Maison Deux Coeurs is a fabulously comfy chalet with everything needed to create a perfect atmosphere for relaxed learning. You and David have found a real niche that would be appreciated by many. The MOTM course was well facilitated and fun and I want to thank you whole- heartedly for a really productive few days with friends old and new.

A beautiful chalet besides the running water within close reach of the slopes made for some varied skiing. The company meant that the CPD was challenging and varied which lead to a very busy 4 days and some good learning.

Maison Deux-Coeurs is fantastically located close to both the resort and village amenities. Well maintained, a great welcome and good cuisine. Relaxing CPD experience, which is driven by those attending the course, with the assistance of experienced, inspirational and motivational facilitators. Adventurous training was informal, yet organised; great fun and great people.
