Returned form a great a lovely week with family in Samoens, made even better by the 5* chalet! Everything went so smoothly, from the time I made the reservation with David way back in July right up to our last day. The chalet had everything & more than we need for our stay, all that you see on the website is true, it has been decorated to a high standard and it was never cold and that was with the radiators turned at a low/medium setting! The log burner was great to have on in the evenings, nice and cosy :-) What can I say about the hottub.....amazing, great way to relieve those tired muscles after skiing! The chalet is only 5-10 minutes from the centre of Samoens, a lovely village/town although it was very quiet when the week we were there, somedays it seemed as though there was no-one going about. Apres-ski is quiet, fine for me & my husband, but too quiet for the young couples with us. It didn't detract from our holiday though and the food from the 3 restaurants that we visited was excellent, much better than previous resorts we've been in. We did a 'come dine night' 3 times and the carrefour just out of the village had everything that we needed....except for fresh chillies... required for all 3 nights :-( Unfortunately the weather wasn’t all that kind to us for producing snow in the mountains until the night we were leaving when it even fell in the village! We managed to ski every day, although not all runs open and the pistes were getting a bit bare in some places. Even managed to get stuck in Flaine because they stopped the life back up to Samoens. Would I go back? In a heartbeat, an amazing chalet!!
